What can the radiology community do to drive lung screening in Europe?
On Wednesday, March 1, from 17:00 to 17:30, an online panel discussion took place to address the recent recommendation by the EU council to extend screening programs to lung cancer. Lung screening programs have been established in many European countries, but their implementation and effectiveness vary due to differences in healthcare systems per country. The panel discussed topics such as the importance of screening, the current state of lung screening programs, the role of radiologists in driving lung screening in their respective countries and the use of AI in lung screening.
