Subclavian steal syndrome

A 63-year-old male patient presented himself to the hospital, after a sudden onset of syncope, for a check-up. A Dual Energy CT angiography was performed on a Dual Source CT, SOMATOM Pro.Pulse, to rule out suspected bilateral carotid artery stenoses.

Clinical Results
A small lesion in the pancreatic body is seen in a cinematic VRT image created with UHR images.

Pancreatic insulinoma in a patient with a history of hypoglycemia

A 63-year-old female patient, with a history of Hypoglycemia, had a calcium stimulation challenge test which showed diffuse insulin secretion throughout the pancreas, suspecting an insulinoma. However, a conventional CT examination did not reveal any pancreatic lesion. A contrast CT scan was performed with NAEOTOM Alpha for further evaluation.

Clinical Results
A curved MPR image show the SVG with a VEST device anastomosed to the PDA. The middle segment appears thin. Two severe stenoses are visualized in the distal segment.

Severe stenoses in a coronary saphenous vein graft with an external VEST support

A 59-year-old male patient, with a history of triple CABG and coronary stenting, came to the hospital with non-specific symptoms. A CT scan with a dual source photon-counting detector CT, NAEOTOM Alpha®, was performed to evaluate the patency of the grafts, the anastomoses and the stent.

Clinical Results
A cinematic VRT image shows a three-dimensional view of the tumor located in the pancreatic body, showing no evidence of gastric wall invasion

A well-differentiated, invasive ductal adenocarcinoma in the pancreatic body

A 69-year-old male patient, complaining of abdominal pain slowly progressing over the past 3 months, came to the hospital for a check-up. Ultrasound examination revealed a mixed solid and cystic mass in the pancreatic body, with suspicious invasion into the gastric wall. A CT examination was performed with a photon-counting CT, NAEOTOM Alpha®, for further assessment.

Clinical Results
Two corresponding curved MPR images, using standard and ZeeFree reconstruction, demonstrate a clear visualization of mild stenoses in the proximal LAD, caused by calcified plaques, after the ZeeFree correction. A non-calcified plaque in the mid LAD is also seen.

Multi-vessel coronary atherosclerosis – significant stenoses?

A 78-year-old female diabetic patient, with clinical symptoms of a suspected stable angina, came to the hospital for a check-up. A coronary CT angiography was requested to evaluate the coronary arteries and to rule out coronary stenosis. A prospectively ECG-triggered sequential mode was performed with a dual source photon-counting detector CT, NAEOTOM Alpha®.

Clinical Results
NAEOTOM Alpha.Prime, NAEOTOM Alpha.Pro and NAEOTOM ALpha.Peak are pending 510(k) clearance and are not yet commercially available in the United States and other regions.
