Platform, its first 1.5 tesla (T) platform for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with virtually helium-free technology now available across Canada. Engineered for efficiency, patient comfort, and clinical versatility, MAGNETOM Flow. Platform with DryCool technology is designed to enhance patient access to high-quality MRI services while promoting sustainability and operational efficiency.

Imagerie Mascouche, located in Mascouche, Quebec, recently became the first imaging clinic in Canada to introduce MAMMOMAT B.brilliant, the first completely redesigned mammography system from Siemens Healthineers in over a decade. This innovation includes new 3D image acquisition and reconstruction technology, as well as capabilities for full-field digital mammography, breast biopsy and titanium contrast-enhanced mammography. This achievement marks a major step forward in breast cancer screening, providing patients in the Lanaudière region with higher-quality images, shorter exams and greater comfort.

Alberta’s government is partnering with Siemens Healthineers and the Alberta Cancer Foundation to improve health outcomes for cancer patients in the Canadian province of Alberta. Within the framework of a Value Partnership¹, the government of Alberta will invest $800 million CAD (around $560 million USD) over eight years to support early detection, reduce wait times and establish Alberta as a leader in cancer research and innovation. In addition, Siemens Healthineers will invest $175 million CAD to support establishing two centers of excellence as well as research.

Siemens Healthineers now has a blood test for multiple sclerosis (MS) management in Canada, having received Health Canada licensing for its Neurofilament Light Chain (NfL) assay, developed with Novartis Pharma AG. The test will aid in predicting MS disease activity in patients with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (RMS), helping physicians manage the disease more effectively and potentially prevent relapses.
