Imagerie Mascouche, located in Mascouche, Quebec, recently became the first imaging clinic in Canada to introduce MAMMOMAT B.brilliant, the first completely redesigned mammography system from Siemens Healthineers in over a decade. This innovation includes new 3D image acquisition and reconstruction technology, as well as capabilities for full-field digital mammography, breast biopsy and titanium contrast-enhanced mammography. This achievement marks a major step forward in breast cancer screening, providing patients in the Lanaudière region with higher-quality images, shorter exams and greater comfort.

“At Imagerie Mascouche, we invested in MAMMOMAT B.brilliant to meet the strong and growing need for effective and accurate breast cancer screening in Lanaudière region,” said Dr. François Aubé, medical director of Imagerie Terrebonne and Imagerie Mascouche. “One of the biggest challenges in mammography is improving image quality while enhancing patient experience. The PlatinumTomo technology from Siemens Healthineers delivers exceptional image clarity while reducing exam times, significantly improving comfort and optimizing workflow efficiency.”

With its ergonomic design and enhanced imaging capabilities, the new system allows technologists to work more efficiently, reducing fatigue and the risk of errors. “We are already receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients, who appreciate the increased comfort and faster exams,” said Dr. Aubé. “By offering screening services locally, we can reduce wait times, increase appointment availability and ensure more women and men receive timely, precise breast care. This introduction also supports our goal of becoming a centre of excellence in breast health for the Lanaudière region and promoting our mission of saving lives through early detection.”

“Bringing MAMMOMAT B.brilliant to Quebec represents an important step toward expanding access to breast cancer screening in Canada,” said Nicolas Leclerc, sales director, East and Atlantic region, Siemens Healthineers Canada. “Making innovative imaging systems like this more accessible is essential to improving early detection and helping ensure equitable access to care for patients across the country.” Jean Carpentier, account manager, East and Atlantic region at Siemens Healthineers Canada, added: “We are pleased to partner with Imagerie Mascouche to support breast imaging services in the Lanaudière region and look forward to continuing to work with clinics and hospitals across Canada to improve access to diagnostic imaging.”
