Description
This workshop is for attendees interested in becoming an MR Medical Director/Physician (MRMD) or MR Safety Officer (MRSO) at their facility. This workshop is 2 ½ days and is taught by Dr. Manny Kanal and hosted by Northwest Imaging Forums. The workshop will cover the basic principles underlying the potential areas of safety concern involved in the MR imaging process and magnetic resonance environment. A review of the Joint Commission requirements for MR Safety and how to ensure site compliance will also be discussed.

Northwestern University Advanced MRI Neuroimaging Workshop
Description
This three (3) day workshop for Advanced Neuro incorporates didactic instruction with practical, hands-on scanning. Anatomy, physiology, and the physics of neuroimaging imaging will be discussed. Additionally, data acquisition, analysis and interpretation for Functional MRI, Perfusion, including Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) and Dynamic Contrast Enhanced (DCE), Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), Tractography and Spectroscopy are included. In alignment with the recent RSNA objective of integrating quantitative methods in the clinical workflow, the neuroimaging workshop will emphasize the role of quantitative measures throughout the course and give examples of how to implement these measures.

MR Safety Officer Course – Bill Faulkner
Description
The MR Safety Officer comprehensive course designed to provide MR personal with the knowledge to function in the role of an MR Safety Officer. The course is based on the current ACR Guidance documentation on MR Safe Practices, ACR Contrast Media Manual and the Examination Content Syllabus of the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS) credentialing exam. MR Safety, MR Zones, patient screening, proper patient attire, and ferromagnetic detection and MR Magnets and their components will also be discussed.
