Triple-rule-out evaluation of acute chest pain using single source photon-counting CT

A 50-year-old male patient presented to the emergency department with massive hemoptysis, dyspnea, and chest pain. Given the high clinical suspicion of pulmonary embolism, a targeted chest CT angiography using ECG-gated helical acquisition was performed to confirm the presence of PE and to evaluate the bronchial arteries for potential embolization therapy.
