Expanding Precision Medicine in Interventional Radiology

Minimally invasive image-guided treatment can result in better patient outcomes and lower costs. We have a broad portfolio of systems and solutions for interventional radiology, including mobile c-arms, angiography systems, endovascular robotics and all-in-one interventional suites. All are designed to enable better treatment decisions and therapies. Experience how we are transforming care in image-guided treatment.

Designing the Interventional Suite of the Future

From its beginnings in the 1960s, interventional radiology (IR) has evolved and expanded rapidly, driven by technological and medical advances that have improved outcomes and increased the range of applications. (1,2) Today, across a growing spectrum of disciplines – including cardiology, radiology, neuroradiology, and oncology – more and more procedures are being performed in the IR suite. Image-guided, minimally invasive therapies are growing at a remarkable rate of 10.5% annually.(3)

Clinical Software Applications

syngo DynaCT

Basis for intervention planning and assurance of procedure safety

In clinical everyday use, we see 3 major categories for utilization of syngo DynaCT:

  • Preprocedural treatment planning, aiming for safer and technically easier procedures
  • Intraprocedural imaging, aiming for avoidance of major complications
  • Assessment of treatment results, aiming at ensuring complete treatment and allowing for a prediction on therapy outcomes
Needle Guidance

PURE® for Smooth interaction in procedure planning

syngo Needle Guidance software supports the parallel planning of multiple needle paths, e.g., when ablations of large tumors require the placement of multiple needles. The user can switch between the different needle paths at tableside.

syngo iFlow

2D functional imaging for end-point determination in TACE

  • Evaluation of inflow and outflow in individual selectable regions of interest
  • May support the visualization of functional effectiveness during treatment.

syngo Embolization Guidance

Features

  • Automatic registration of Low Dose syngo DynaCT or two 2D fluoroscopy images and Planning CT or MRI volume using syngo Fusion
  • Overlay segmentations of tumor and feeder(s) onto live fluoroscopy using syngo 3D Roadmap

Benefits

  • Guidance may help speed up catheter placement
  • Potential to reduce radiation dose and contrast medium
syngo DynaPBV Body

Features

  • Shows the distribution and amount of blood in lesions
  • Provides physiological information directly in the angio suite

Benefits

  • Observe how the distribution of blood changes as a result of your therapy.
  • May support decision making for optimal end point of your intervention.
  • May support optimization of follow-up treatment strategy.
