In 1981, the analog mammography system MAMMOMAT B offers a biopsy paddle for needle localization under mammography control.
MAMMOMAT 3 is the first stereotactic breast biopsy system from Siemens Healthineers. It enabled more accurate, minimally invasive biopsy procedures.
The digital mammography system Mammomat Inspiration supports stereotactic biopsy in 2008.
