Musculoskeletal Imaging Diagnostic power of MR Imaging
MRI is often the preferred imaging modality in musculoskeletal conditions because of its superior soft-tissue contrast, allowing the visualization of tears and degeneration. Siemens Healthineers provides you several MRI technologies that help you achieve reliable results at exceptional speed even in the presence of challenges such as imaging around metal implants1. Achieve consistent and reproducible high-quality image results with dedicated MSK scan protocols and our guided and automated workflows for the spine and three large joints. Quantitative and automated evaluation of knee cartilage is now possible for an early detection of osteoarthritis.

The MRI restrictions (if any) of the metal implant must be considered prior to patient undergoing MRI exam. MR imaging of patients with metallic implants brings specific risks. However, certain implants are approved by the governing regulatory bodies to be MR conditionally safe. For such implants, the previously mentioned warning may not be applicable. Please contact the implant manufacturer for the specific conditional information. The conditions for MR safety are the responsibility of the implant manufacturer, not of Siemens.
