AIDAN is the result of 25 years of hardware and software innovations that enable next-generation solutions in oncology, cardiology, and neurology. We were the first to bring AI-powered applications to the scanner. With more than 40 AI offerings from over 700 machine- and deep-learning patents across Siemens Healthineers, we continue to lead the drive to bring new AI functionality to PET/CT.
ALPHA for innovative and smart molecular imaging applications
Automatic landmarking and parsing of human anatomy (ALPHA), a Siemens Healthineers proprietary technology, supports optimized workflows on both scanners and syngo.via reading solutions.
ALPHA can be used to recognize and infer anatomical patterns and consists of an algorithm to detect anatomical landmarks at its core. The algorithm is designed to mimic the human foveal vision system. The underlying technology is a multi-layered, machine-learning algorithm that has been trained using many expert-annotated images across modalities and uses three redundancy concepts to achieve robustness.
ALPHA technology reliably provides anatomical context and has been used to enrich applications on the AIDAN platform.
