PCASL Improved 2D or 3D brain perfusion imaging.

Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) is a non contrast enhanced brain perfusion technique. Perfusion-weighted color maps and relative cerebral blood flow (relCBF) color maps are calculated. Either 2D based on an EPI sequence enhanced for ASL or based on a 3D volume using a turbo gradient spin echo technique and an ASL preparation.
Using pseudo continuous Arterial Spin Labeling (PCASL) both 2D or 3D brain perfusion imaging gets improved significantly with over 30% more slices for larger coverage and at shorter acquisition time1.
