TORCH infections in pregnancy can cause serious fetal consequences. Therefore, proper diagnosis of maternal disease and fetal monitoring once diagnosed are extremely important. They allow clinicians to properly counsel mothers on the potential for adverse fetal outcomes when these infections are present.1
