Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has entered into a partnership agreement with Siemens Healthineers. As a health group, the Trust provides 320,000 people in the outlying areas of London with comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services. For the ten-year term of the contract, Siemens Healthineers will provide the hospital in Kingston with comprehensive Managed Equipment Services (MES) for all medical imaging systems. This tailored partnership goes beyond the range of a normal MES contract: Professionals from Siemens Healthineers will be integrated into the customer's team to help optimize the processes in the Radiology department. They amongst others develop technology roadmaps in order to take care of that available medical systems meet the latest requirements. MES is part of Siemens Healthineers global Asset Management Services (AMS) portfolio.
With MES and the complete upgrade of the radiology system at Kingston, Siemens Healthineers aims to help the Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust transform care delivery for its patients and optimize its costs at the same time through the use of innovative imaging technology and optimized work processes.

"This new partnership presents a real opportunity for us," said Angela Clarke, Associate Director for Capital Programmes at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. "The assurance we will receive from having access to the latest equipment and working within a more efficient department is invaluable. It will allow us to focus on what matters – providing our patients with the best possible care."

"With our customized MES solutions, we at Siemens Healthineers enable healthcare providers to transform care delivery and improve the patient and staff experience. Through this partnership the NHS Trust will be able to offer latest clinically relevant medical technology to their patients and deliver more precise clinical diagnosis. Additionally our consulting and transformation experts will support the Kingston team in adopting global standards of workflow management and drive lean transformation.", added Sourabh Pagaria, Senior Vice President, Global Head, Enterprise Services and Solutions, Siemens Healthineers.

The partnership with Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust includes the provision, updating and maintenance of imaging systems, ranging from angiography, to computed tomography, ultrasound, x-rays and molecular imaging. Under the contract, Siemens Healthineers will also offer financing services, take charge of facility planning, train clinical users, and provide technical support on-site. It will also include solutions to improve operational and clinical efficiency using a Radiology Performance Management Service (RPMS). RPMS is a comprehensive approach. In addition to analytical consulting services, the service thus includes supervision and implementation of the agreed actions and continuous measurement of results for an extensive period of time.
