· Siemens mobile viewing application syngo.via WebViewer is now automatically available for users of the latest version of the syngo.via software.

Siemens announces the availability of its integrated mobile viewing application syngo.via WebViewer1 for all users of the newest syngo®.via2 (VA30) image reading software. With the delivery of syngo.via VA30, users will automatically have the capability to easily and rapidly view images on mobile devices - within a hospital network or on the go.

“Recognizing the importance and value of efficiency, flexibility, and patient satisfaction, Siemens puts great emphasis on providing solutions that support these demands. Integrating mobile capabilities into its newest syngo.via version attests to this”, explains Kurt Reiff, VP Business Management (BM) SYNGO North-America, Siemens Healthcare.

When syngo.via users are without access to a diagnostic workstation, they will be able to view images and reports directly on the iPad. High quality image display capabilities with remarkable speed allow for fast image viewing away from the workstation - even in time critical cases. Mobile radiology solutions like syngo.via WebViewer promote efficiency and flexibility that translate into financial and time savings.

syngo.via WebViewer also fosters close patient involvement and makes it easier than ever. For example, instead of bringing stationary patients into an office or reading room, 3D images can be used to promptly and comfortably explain the diagnosis and discuss treatment directly with the patient – wherever they are located.

syngo.via WebViewer is an ideal solution for fast viewing of images within the hospital enterprise. This is especially true in larger hospital settings where examination rooms, reading rooms, treatment rooms, and patients are all located in different parts of the hospital campus. Through a secure connection, this mobile application makes it possible for radiologists to view images from anywhere3 within the reach of a hospital network, and easily share information with fellow physicians in other departments.

syngo.via WebViewer can be accessed from a standard Web browser or an iPad4.

The syngo.via WebViewer can be downloaded directly from iTunes or from: http://usa.healthcare.siemens.com/medical-imaging-it/syngoviaspecialtopics/syngovia-webviewer
