Course Description:

This web-based training will introduce the learner to the syngo.via Clinical Workflow syngoPET&CT Oncology | CT Oncology. Course Description:

Building Blocks for an Efficient CT Workflow
Course Description:

This sixty-minute presentation will offer CT Technologists with extensive or little to no syngo CT experience an opportunity to learn and fine tune their exam scanning workflow skills. This session will concentrate on the basic processes from registering a patient either manually or from the scheduler, choosing the appropriate scan mode and protocol, planning single and multi-study exams, setting up and performing various reconstructions, and finally address scanning the patient. To conclude, this talk will also speak to what to do if additional images are required after the initial scan is completed.

CARE Dose 4D
Course Description:

This web-based training will provide all CT and other imaging professionals an in-depth look at CARE Dose4D, Siemens’ proprietary software for automatic dose modulation and optimization. The concept of a Quality Reference mAs will be discussed, and the importance of proper patient positioning will be reviewed. Additionally, the participant will learn how to customize CARE Dose4D modulation curves, and will learn how to achieve the most appropriate doses for their pediatric patient population.

Cardiac DynaCT Anatomy
Course Description:

The latest technology for the cath lab is bringing angiographic CT-like imaging directly to the angio table. This presentation will give the cardiac catheterization staff members an introductory overview of the cross-sectional cardiac anatomy. Anatomy, physiology, and anomalies associated with procedures performed in the cath lab will be reviewed. This will provide fundamental tools for use with Siemens Cardiac syngo® DynaCT.

CT Colonography: Patient Preparation, Scanning Techniques, and Postprocessing
Course Description:

CT Colonography employs virtual reality technology to produce a three-dimensional visualization that permits a thorough and minimally invasive evaluation of the entire colon and rectum. CT Intervention
Course Description:

This 43 minute long e.learning is designed for the technologist and radiologist who want to learn more about CT Intervention utilizing the Siemens 3D Intervention Suite. This presentation will educate you on the use of CT Intervention in a clinical setting as well as how to perform them at the lowest achievable dose. CT Scanner Hardware – An Introduction
Course Description:
This web-based training will introduce the learner to the most common components of today’s diagnostic Computed Tomography systems. The hardware required to perform CT examinations will be reviewed and discussed including the gantry, patient table, computers, various input devices, storage media and accessories. This training will provide fundamental information for those unfamiliar with CT, and offers a useful review for more experienced imaging professionals.

CT syngo® 3D Task Card - Basic Postprocessing
Course Description:

This web-based training will provide all clinical and imaging professionals an overview of the most common types of image postprocessing. Prerequisite scan parameters will be reviewed, and the basics of Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR), Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Volume Rendered Technique (VRT) and Surface Shaded Display (SSD) will be discussed.

The topic of CT radiation exposure and potential future cancer risk raises many different questions among healthcare professionals, families, and the community. Playing a front-line role in the imaging process, technologists are key to the imaging team. Dual Energy CT: Clinical Applications
Course Description:

Dual Energy CT (DECT) has matured from a pure research tool to a fully clinically usable new CT imaging technology. This one-hour webcast will focus on how to make the transition of DECT into clinical practice happen at your institution. Course Description:

This e.learning will provide some of the basic information that will enhance your knowledge in the area of CT angiography (CTA) of the body. The following areas will be discussed: A brief historical look at contrast enhancement and angiography, the evolution of the CT scanner especially as it pertains to CTA -Basic vascular anatomy of the thorax and abdomen, the CTA examination itself will be discussed, and post-processing considerations for CTA.

Optimizing CT Image Quality: Image Quality
Course Description:
This web-based training will introduce Radiologic Technologists to the fundamentals of CT image quality and the parameters commonly used to qualify IQ in CT. The 30 minute presentation will propose the idea of the “diagnostic task” – simply, is the quality of the examination sufficient to answer the question at hand? Also discussed will be image contrast and noise and how these parameters individually and together relate to IQ. Course Description:
This web-based training will introduce Radiologic Technologists to Siemens’ proprietary dose reduction software CARE Dose4D. The 30 minute presentation will discuss the idea of automatic exposure control for CT examinations and how Quality Reference mAs values and dose modulation curves are used. Following the training, the user will demonstrate their acquired knowledge of CARE Dose 4D and dose reduction techniques by completing a summary test. Optimizing CT Image Quality: CARE kV
Course Description:

This web-based training will introduce Radiologic Technologists to Siemens’ CARE kV software. The 30 minute presentation will discuss how kilovoltage relates to patient dose and image quality, and how CARE kV can be used to easily and automatically optimize this parameter. Following the training, the user will demonstrate their acquired knowledge of CARE kV by completing a summary test. Optimizing CT Image Quality: Clinical Techniques
Course Description:

This web-based training will offer Radiologic Technologists valuable recommendations on how to balance CT technical parameters within the physical constraints of scanner tube capacities. The 30 minute presentation will discuss kV, mAs, and scan time as they relate to patient size, examination requirements and hardware limitations. Overcoming Challenges in Pediatric CT Imaging
Course Description:

This session will familiarize you with important issues to proactively think about prior to scanning a pediatric patient. These issues will include sedation and, perhaps most importantly, the choice of scanning parameters that should be chosen to optimize image quality and decrease dose. syngo Siemens Software for Clinical Imaging
Course Description:
This web-based training will introduce the learner to Siemens’ proprietary imaging platform, syngo. While this is a cross-modality software, attention will be paid to the syngo user interface as it relates to Computed Tomography. Basic components and features such as the monitor layout, menus, Task Cards, and the Patient Browser will be discussed. Introduction to Your New Siemens CT Scanner
Class Description:
This virtual instructor-led training is designed to provide an overview of your new Siemens CT scanner. The course compares different vendor terminology and workflow similarities. Simulator workstations are used to demonstrate the ease of use of the Siemens’ workflow. The session allows for live interaction between you and an experienced Siemens instructor.

3D Bone Removal
Class Description:

This instructor led live E. Class is designed to instruct the learner how to perform the Siemens syngo Bone Removal tool in the 3D card for post-processing of CT data. The course starts with an overview as to what the 3D data set requirements are, and then the majority of time will be used to demonstrate the features of Bone Removal and walk the learner through the semi-automated application of Bone Removal.

Basic 3D Post-Processing
Class Description:

This virtual instructor-led e.class is designed to refresh, instruct, and familiarize customers with 3D post-processing basics and programs and will supply the CT technologist, with general 3D post-processing techniques as available on the 3D task card of the Acquisition Workplace (Navigator), the syngo® CT Workplace (Wizard), and the syngo® MultiModality Workplace (MMWP).

syngo® Image Fusion
Class Description:

This virtual instructor-led e.class is for new users of the hybrid systems who want to know how to use the 3D task card to view images and perform image fusion. This course will assist the user in understanding how the 3D task card can be used to improve workflow and diagnosis.


Workstream 4D
Class Description:

This instructor led live E. Class is designed to instruct the learner how to perform Workstream 4D as implemented in the Examination Task Card. The course explains the features and benefits of Workstream 4D and guides the leaner through the application step-by-step.
