COVID-19 WebinarCOVID-19 Antibody Testing: Mutants, Vaccines and Neutralizing Antibodies

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly disrupted the world and SARS-CoV-2 tests have become valuable tools to help secure communities and combat this pandemic. Serology tests for antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus have been in use for population sero-surveillance, as an aid in diagnosis, and for convalescent plasma screening. As effective COVID-19 vaccines are being approved and deployed, there is new interest in serology tests as a surrogate measure of protective anti-viral immunity. At the same time, the emergence of new viral strains threatens the effectiveness of existing control measures and vaccines.
