Education sessions

On-stand bite-size lectures

Optimising clinical efficiency: simplifying your neuro CT workflow

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10:00-10:25

In this session we will demonstrate new techniques to simplify neuro acquisition and post processing techniques, especially in the emergency setting. This will include native, contrast and perfusion techniques. We will present AI tools for identifying neuro pathologies.

Deep Resolve expanded

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10:30-10:55

Deep Resolve is at the forefront of the revolution in MRI acceleration and the Deep Resolve family is now growing to include diffusion, HASTE, SPACE and VIBE. This presentation will look into how this powerful technique is revolutionising clinical productivity and image quality.

3D intraoperative imaging and beyond

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 11:00-11:25

Join us to learn about the latest surgical imaging techniques; including how 3D mobile c-arms are supporting navigation and robotics in bringing precision medicine to the UK’s operating theatres.

Photon Counting CT: cutting edge technology your new clinical routine

Monday, Tuesday: 11:30-11:55

In this session we will present techniques our customers have used to implement this revolutionary technology into their departments. We will focus on how using decision trees can optimise the cardiac acquisition technique and individualise the reconstructions for oncology follow-up scans for each patient.

Mastering X-ray imaging excellence with precision and intelligence

Monday, Tuesday: 12:00-12:25

This presentation will explore the distinction between X-ray image quality and image impression and strategies for intelligently customising X-ray procedures to meet individual requirements by applying fundamental principles. Topics covered include utilising deviation index, gridless imaging and exposure factors.

Ultrasound in the Liver Pathway – what can my ACUSON Sequoia Crown do for me?

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 14:00-14:20

For the 25% of the world’s population currently living with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), a timely diagnosis could mean the difference between health and a serious liver-related event. Join us to explore Siemens Healthineers non-invasive quantitative liver assessment solutions. There will be an opportunity for hands-on with ACUSON Sequoia Crown – no ultrasound expertise required!

UKIO-led session

Photon Counting CT: benefits over conventional CT and clinical implementation

Tuesday 11 June, 14:00-15:00

Photon-counting CT (PCCT) represents a breakthrough in computed tomography imaging. At its core is a new detector technology that delivers increased spatial resolution, is intrinsically spectral and offers improved radiation dose efficiency compared with conventional CT.

In this session clinical users of PCCT will review challenges in current CT imaging and discuss the benefits provided by PCCT technology demonstrated with examples of use in cardiovascular CT and musculoskeletal CT imaging. Their experience of implementing PCCT into clinical practice, including workflow, training and research opportunities will also be discussed.
