What is Dual Energy?
Unlike a standard 120 kV scan, Dual Energy (DE) CT requires two spiral scans acquired at 80 kV and 140 kV (Dual Spiral DE). The two scans at two different energies provide images with different HU values, varying by the tissue type.1
