What the lungs of COVID-19 patients look like

The images taken with the Somatom go.Up computer tomograph from Siemens Healthineers show the lung changes associated with confirmed COVID-19 disease. The densifications correspond to inflammatory processes in the lung tissue. The images (left and middle) use a special visualization technique that is also used in the film industry – Cinematic Rendering. For comparison the conventional CT sectional image on the right.
