To commemorate YSIO X.pree’s official launch at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), an opening event was held on November 14, 2022 with Siemens Healthineers. YSIO X.pree, the ceiling-mounted X-ray system with MyExam Companion intelligent user interface to guide radiographers and technologists through exam workflow, is the first installed system in Singapore as well as the ASEAN region.
Singapore General Hospital and Siemens Healthineers have built a partnership of enabling innovation to improve clinical workflow processes over years of X-ray systems evolution, and this event brought together like-minded professionals and radiographers for, among other things, the chance to experience the latest intelligent radiography system in SGH’s Radiography Department.
Ms Aw Lian Ping, Head of SGH Radiography Department and Ms Siow Ai Li, Managing Director (Singapore) of Siemens Healthineers, graced the hybrid event and sat the crowd down for an inspiring sharing of their experience seeing how innovation and technologies have helped to keep up with the demanding medical environment in today’s context. These points were further strengthened by a presentation by Dr. Walter Folberth, ASEAN Vice President for X-ray products for Siemens Healthineers, followed by the SGH’s radiographers as they shared with the audience about their first experiences using the X-ray system.
The event saw close to 70 esteemed guests and representatives attended from the SGH and other institutions within the SingHealth cluster.
Ms Ai Li spoke about how partnership with the Singapore General Hospital will benefit the patients and users. “We are very grateful to this great partnership between SGH and Siemens Healthineers,” she told the attendees. “With YSIO X.pree, this system represents a dramatic leap-forward compared to the predecessor systems and sets to improve user and patient experience in order to optimize clinical operations to transform the delivery of care.”
Finally, the Monday morning brought a good conclusion to the event with
the X-ray system demonstration by Siemens Healthineers product specialists, as
well as A/Prof Andrew Tan, Chairman of the SGH Division of Radiological
Sciences and Mr. Surajkumar Chandrasekharan, ASEAN Head of Diagnostic Imaging
of Siemens Healthineers sharing their messages and thoughts about positive
outcomes with this launch.
