RAP_AU_Description

At Siemens Healthineers, our global mission is to enable healthcare providers to increase value by empowering them on their journey towards expanding precision medicine, transforming care delivery, and improving patient experience; enabled by the digitalisation of healthcare.

In Australia, we intend to expand on that mission by establishing a Reconciliation Action Plan that translates our deep commitment to change. It will reflect our belief that the healthcare industry will be enriched by acknowledging, learning and preserving the unique and enduring cultures and identities of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Volunteering is a powerful force for good that benefits both individuals and communities in countless ways, it fosters empathy and compassion by connecting people with causes they care about, whether it's environmental conservation, social justice, or community health.

Siemens Healthineers promotes employees to take two community service (volunteer) days — to be used in collaboration with RAB or a volunteer activity that aligns with our shared purpose and values.

RAB2

Siemens Healthineers is a proud partner and supporter of Radiology Across Borders (RAB). RAB is an Australian charity which focuses on teaching key clinical skills to radiologists, doctors and medical imaging staff around the world to ensure health professionals have the knowledge and training to save their patients’ lives. We have established a number of projects which drive sustainable change, assist clinicians to become more competent in both fundamental and cutting-edge skills, and to share their expanding knowledge with their peers locally.

“Together, our challenge is to raise money and awareness for Radiology Across Border, supporting the training and education of local doctors in developing nations in radiology to save the lives of men, women and children.”
