In 2019, Siemens Healthineers, University of Missouri System (UM System) and University of Missouri Health Care (MU Health Care) launched the Alliance for Precision Health, a ten-year strategic partnership to provide researchers and students with access to the latest medical technology while also providing patients from underserved rural areas with equal access to the best health care in the state.

Now, over two years into the strategic alliance, the organizations continue to implement new innovations in diagnostics and therapy, training resources, and digital health solutions to improve health care in Missouri. Having already implemented a number of educational initiatives for students and having supported the launch of the NextGen Precision Health Institute with advanced imaging and therapy capabilities and infrastructure planning, the organizations now look toward additional opportunities to transform care delivery through enhanced patient care and operational improvements.
