MRCCC Siloam Hospitals has taken a bold step in the fight against breast cancer with the installation of Indonesia’s first Mammomat B.Brilliant from Siemens Healthineers. Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women in Indonesia, accounting for around 19% of all cancer cases, with more than 70,000 new diagnoses each year1 (GLOBOCAN). Yet survival rates can drastically improve if the disease is caught early—making timely and accurate screening crucial.
The Mammomat B.Brilliant is more than just a mammography system; it’s a leap forward in imaging precision, patient comfort, and clinical efficiency. With cutting-edge imaging software, ultra-sharp resolution at a low radiation dose, and faster, more comfortable exams, it empowers radiologists to detect even the smallest irregularities earlier and more confidently. For women, it transforms what can be an anxious experience into one that is quicker, gentler, and reassuring—because every moment saved can be a life saved.
For MRCCC, this installation cements its role as a Center of Excellence for Cancer Care, offering patients access to diagnostic capabilities on par with world-leading cancer institutions. “This milestone is more than just a technological upgrade—it’s a powerful statement of our commitment to protecting women’s health,” said dr. Edy Gunawan, MARS, CEO of MRCCC Siloam Hospitals. “We want to inspire more women to take charge of their health, come forward for screenings, and give themselves the best chance at beating breast cancer”
Alfred Fahringer, President Director of Siemens Healthineers Indonesia, added: “We are proud to partner with MRCCC in bringing the Mammomat B.Brilliant to Indonesia for the very first time. This system embodies our mission to pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare—for everyone, everywhere. Together, we’re not just delivering a machine, we’re delivering hope, earlier answers, and the chance for more women to live longer, healthier lives.”
