Test Description:

The ELF™ test1 is a multivariate index assay intended to provide an algorithmic liver fibrosis score based on quantitative measurements of hyaluronic acid (HA), amino-terminal propeptide of type III procollagen (PIIINP), and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1) from serum. The ELF™ Score serves, in conjunction with other clinical information, as a prognostic marker for the risk of liver-related clinical events in patients with chronic liver disease2.

ELF Score Interpretation2
< 9.8 : Low risk
9.8 to <= 11.3 : Moderate risk
> 11.3 : High risk
