Dr. Rowbottom presents results of one of the few studies available that provides a comparative analysis of the performance of the new Siemens FLC assay and an existing method. The study, which included 145 samples of 131 patients, also sought to determine the clinical utility of the FLC method in the diagnosis and management of monoclonal gammopathies.
