5 Ways to Magnify the Productivity of Atellica Solution

Achieve one-touch testing with Aptio Automation

Atellica® Solution connected to Aptio® Automation enables labs to combine game-changing chemistry and immunoassay diagnostic capabilities with total lab automation for even greater workflow advantages:

1.  Improve operations with help from workflow, IT and project management experts

2.  Automate pre- and post-analytics

3.  Improve TAT with prioritized STAT management and continuous sample flow

4.  Add chemistry and immunoassay analyzers without adding an automation touchpoint

5.  Leverage open connectivity for 3rd party specialty testing

Businesspeople reviewing plans on a table

Siemens Healthineers workflow consultants are Lean-accredited, experienced in Six Sigma methodologies, and collectively perform more than 1100 workflow consultations each year. Leverage world class experience and best practices in large scale project management derived from more than 2000* track-based automation projects implemented by Siemens since 1998.

Lab technician loading samples into an analyzer

Free lab staff from time-consuming, low-value tasks associated with sample loading, preparation, and handling. Choose one (or multiples) of 17 different Aptio Automation pre- and post-analytical modules for rack or bulk loading, tube inspection, centrifugation, decapping, sealing, refrigeration, disposal, and more.

Test tubes on Aptio Automation track

The STAT management features of Aptio Automation complement those of Atellica Solution to ensure prioritized testing. Labs can simultaneously process samples coming from the automation track while loading tubes directly to the Atellica Sample Handler with no significant impact to TAT**. Rapid tube return avoids bottlenecks even when the Atellica Solution analyzers are processing at maximum capacity. Importantly, the combined solution also ensures functional independence to support continuous sample flow without interruption in the event either Aptio Automation or Atellica Solution is offline.

Atellica Solution with an Aptio Automation track connected

Typically, adding analyzers onto an automation track is a complex process that requires modification of track design, new instrument and IT interfaces, and longer track length. However, Aptio Automation supports T-, L-, U-turns to create tailor- made, customized tracks. Atellica Solution supports linear, L, and U shapes. When combined, these two solutions provide unprecedented configuration flexibility to optimize chemistry and immunoassay testing. Up to seven Atellica Solution analyzers can be easily added in a single configuration without adding a new automation touchpoint or further IT connections.

Clinical laboratory with multiple analyzers connected to Aptio Automation track

Extend intelligent, test-based, individual sample management to plasma protein, hematology, hemostasis, specialty, and third-party analyzers to streamline multi-disciplinary testing in an efficient single-piece flow environment. Connectivity to the more than 50 analyzers listed on our global website may not be available in all countries. In addition, analyzer availability may vary by country, and connectivity will require manufacturer agreement. Please contact your local Siemens Healthineers representative for further information.
