Pancreatic Multi-Parametric Ultrasound in High Volume Cancer Center Prof. Mirko D’Onofrio, University of Verona, Italy

Ultrasound (US) is a first-line diagnostic tool in the clinical setting. It plays a vital role in the detection and characterization of pancreatic tumors. A multi-parametric approach using high-resolution B-mode ultrasound imaging and advanced techniques such as Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS) and Elastography (p-SWE and 2DSWE) increases the diagnostic accuracy of detecting pancreatic lesions.

Examples of the use of pancreas CEUS and Elastography are presented here. EFSUMB guidelines for non-hepatic applications are shared.

Clinical cases of ultrasound-guided interventional procedures (biopsies and radiofrequency ablation) using the Fusion imaging technique are also described in this presentation.
