- The collaboration focuses on four strategic areas: knowledge transfer and training, clinical marketing and branding, Centers of Excellence, and scientific collaboration.
Siemens Healthineers and Vinmec Healthcare System (Vinmec) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Siemens Healthineers’ global headquarters in Germany, establishing a framework for cooperation between the two organizations. The agreement aims to advance medical innovation and enhance healthcare quality in Vietnam through four strategic areas of cooperation: knowledge transfer and training, clinical marketing, development of Centers of Excellence, and scientific research.
Under the agreement, Siemens Healthineers and Vinmec will implement training and knowledge-sharing programs to strengthen the capabilities of Vinmec’s healthcare professionals in using advanced diagnostic imaging technologies. The initiatives include specialized workshops, regular technology updates, technical training for biomedical engineers, and access to the Siemens Healthineers academic ecosystem.
In the area of clinical marketing, Siemens Healthineers and Vinmec will jointly organize large-scale scientific conferences and professional events to foster knowledge exchange within the national and international medical community. In addition, the two organizations will implement communication initiatives to raise public awareness of the benefits of advanced medical technologies.
In addition, Siemens Healthineers will partner with Vinmec to develop Centers of Excellence (CoE). The collaboration will connect Vinmec with leading global experts and healthcare institutions, provide consulting on the design and optimization of specialized centers, and implement technology and equipment management solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
The two organizations will also advance scientific collaboration in selected clinical areas through joint research, the testing of new technologies on Siemens Healthineers systems, and the publication of results in leading international scientific journals.
“Major advances in medicine can only be achieved through collaboration and the global exchange of knowledge. We believe our partnership with Vinmec Healthcare System will connect international expertise with healthcare needs in Vietnam and further drive medical technology innovation across the region,” said Elisabeth Staudinger, Managing Board member of Siemens Healthineers.
“Through this collaboration with Siemens Healthineers, Vinmec aims to further strengthen its pioneering role in adopting advanced medical technologies and gradually develop Centers of Excellence in line with international standards. We believe these initiatives will enhance professional capabilities and deliver more effective diagnostic and treatment solutions for patients.” said Prof. Tran Trung Dung, Chief Executive Officer of Vinmec Healthcare System, at the event.
The combination of Siemens Healthineers’ global medical technology expertise and Vinmec’s clinical capabilities is expected to drive medical innovation and strengthen international knowledge exchange. Through joint initiatives in training, research, and knowledge sharing, the two organizations aim to contribute to strengthening Vietnam’s healthcare system and improving the quality of care.
