Siemens Healthineers and Bach Mai Hospital have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance the application of advanced diagnostic imaging technologies, particularly the NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT system, thereby contributing to improved diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes for patients.

The signing ceremony follows a significant milestone in December 2025, when Bach Mai Hospital simultaneously put into operation two NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT systems.

Under the collaboration, Siemens Healthineers and Bach Mai Hospital will jointly implement training programs and professional workshops, while enhancing knowledge exchange with both local and international experts.

In parallel, both parties will advance scientific research by combining the clinical expertise of Bach Mai Hospital’s radiology specialists with Siemens Healthineers’ advanced technology platforms. Research conducted using the NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT system is expected to generate valuable scientific publications in reputable regional and international journals.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Giap, Vice Director of Bach Mai Hospital, said: “Our collaboration with Siemens Healthineers goes beyond technology investment. It represents a long-term partnership in developing professional capabilities and advancing scientific research. Our collaboration with Bach Mai Hospital is not only about bringing advanced technologies into clinical practice, but also about building professional capabilities, advancing research, and strengthening the position of Vietnam’s healthcare system on the global stage.”

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Bach Mai Hospital and Siemens Healthineers not only promotes the adoption of advanced diagnostic imaging technologies in Vietnam but also contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services and meeting the growing needs of the population.
