- MAGNETOM Flow marks a milestone in sustainable MRI, featuring a helium-independent lifecycle enabled by DryCool technology. This revolutionary 1.5T MRI platform minimizes environmental impact while maximizing efficiency, reinforcing commitment to a greener future.
- SOMATOM Pro.Pulse, a next-generation high-end CT scanner with Dual Source technology, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
Siemens Healthineers has just unveiled 02 cutting-edge diagnostic imaging technologies at the "Expanding the Future of Care" event in Vietnam, gathering nearly 120 leading healthcare professionals including key figures from the Vietnam Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine as well as major hospitals across the country.
Held alongside the Annual Congress of the Radiology Society of Ho Chi Minh City 2025, the event spotlighted two cutting-edge innovations: MAGNETOM Flow. Platform and SOMATOM Pro.Pulse. Both systems are designed to elevate diagnostic accuracy, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainable healthcare delivery.
MAGNETOM Flow: AI-Powered MRI with Sustainability at Its Core
MAGNETOM Flow is Siemens Healthineers’ brand new next-generation 1.5T MRI system, built on a fully scalable platform with a helium-independent, sealed magnet design. Utilizing just 0.7 liters of liquid helium, the DryCool technology eliminates the need for refills1, marking a breakthrough in environmentally responsible imaging.
Empowered by AI-driven capabilities like Deep Resolve, MAGNETOM Flow enhances diagnostic precision with deep learning-based image reconstruction, improving image quality while drastically reducing scan times by up to 88%2. The system also features myExam Autopilot and myExam Assist, which automate and optimize scanning protocols for over 90% of anatomical regions3, helping standardize image quality and reduce repeat scans.
MAGNETOM Flow is especially valuable in neurology and oncology, offering highly detailed imaging for early detection of conditions such as stroke, neurodegeneration, brain tumors, liver cancer, and breast cancer. Its noise reduction technology ensures a quieter, more comfortable experience for patients, enhancing compliance and satisfaction.
SOMATOM Pro.Pulse: Dual Source CT for the Next Era of Diagnostic Imaging
SOMATOM Pro.Pulse is Siemens Healthineers’ latest high-end Dual Source CT system, equipped with two X-ray tubes and two detectors, enabling an outstanding temporal resolution of 86 milliseconds4. This allows clinicians to capture high-quality images even in patients with high or irregular heart rates.
The system integrates ZeeFree, an AI-based algorithm that automatically corrects cardiac motion artifacts, and Best Phase, which identifies the optimal cardiac phase for clearer coronary imaging. This makes it a powerful tool for diagnosing coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and myocardial infarction.
SOMATOM Pro.Pulse also enhances tissue characterization through Dual Energy CT, delivering up to 30% higher spectral separation5. This supports more accurate assessment of lesions and abnormalities, especially in oncology. In addition, the low kV protocol can reduce contrast media volume by up to 49%6—a critical benefit for patients with renal impairment, children, and the elderly.
Pioneering Breakthrough in Healthcare
Mr. Fabian Martin Singer, General Manager of Siemens Healthineers Vietnam, remarked at the event: "The integration of artificial intelligence and automation not only improves imaging quality but also relieves workload for clinicians and streamlines hospital workflows. Innovations like MAGNETOM Flow and SOMATOM Pro.Pulse can be critical in emergency settings—where every second truly matters."
The introduction of these advanced technologies represents a significant step in Siemens Healthineers’ dedication to elevate diagnostic imaging in Vietnam. By integrating AI-powered and sustainable innovations, these solutions enhance both the speed and accuracy of diagnostics while minimizing environmental impact.
