Siemens Healthineers and Radiology Across Borders (RAB) collaborated to host the Abdomen Advanced Clinical Workshop at the Hanoi Medical University (HMU). The workshop attracted more than 150 participants!
This workshop was part of a RAB's workshop series – RABics, with which Siemens Healthineers has been in a partnership since 2019. Through RABics, volunteer radiologists and technologists visit emerging nations to provide training and support to the local medical professionals to improve imaging practices.
Led by Dr. Jash Agraval, RAB Co-clinical lead, alongside three special guest speakers, including Dr. Kristen Gormly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thomas Sutherland, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. William Siu, participants were walked through a series of in-depth clinical diagnostic imaging mainly specializing in abdomen diseases including pancreatic adenocarcinoma, solid organ trauma, cervical and endometrial cancer, pelvic trauma, and gynecomastia.
Throughout these lectures, RAB imaging specialists also integrated discoveries with lucid explanations combined with advanced oncology and abdomen imaging. These lectures were passionately delivered and were met with interest and an eagerness to learn about the new innovative insights from the local medical professionals.
The steadfast relationship of Siemens Healthineers, RAB, and Hanoi Medical University has been proven over the past years through this successful workshop series. We hope to continue our commitment to learning with future collaborative opportunities to train young talented doctors and nurses to ultimately provide effective healthcare, and better treatments.
