Stroke International Services Can Tho General Hospital (SIS) was established in the Mekong Delta region to provide fastest and optimal treatment to the stroke patients. In August 2020, SIS partnered with Siemens Healthineers to deploy MAGNETOM Lumina 3T MRI System, the first one in ASEAN at the time.
This advanced MRI system is expected to improve the ability to detect tumor, complex neurology scanning and whole-body scanning procedure.
MAGNETOM Lumina with its large 70 cm bore and integrated Innovision entertainment system, is designed to bring comfort and enhance overall patient satisfaction.
With advanced features like CoilShim and SliceAdjust technologies for reproducible high-quality imaging, the BioMatrix Tuners automatically adjusts scan parameters to adapt to challenging patient anatomies.Additionally, new Turbo Suite acceleration packages can further reduce scan time on routine examinations of various parts of the body by up to 50 percent.
Dr. Cuong, Director of SIS Can Tho shared that, with 3T MAGNETOM Lumina, he hopes to enhance stroke treatment efficiency, provide better cancer screening for early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care, thus helping improve examination and treatment standard for people in the Mekong Delta.
