Siemens Healthineers inaugurates its GCC Regional Headquarters in Saudi Arabia

On the 6th of June 2024, Siemens Healthineers inaugurated its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This strategic move emphasizes our commitment to the transformative healthcare initiatives in the region. The RHQ will serve as a Center of Excellence for Digitalization & Automation, Innovation & Scientific Partnerships and Customer Services across the GCC countries.

At the inauguration ceremony, Vivek Kanade, Managing Director Middle East and Africa, Siemens Healthineers commented, “We are committed to supporting the Kingdom’s healthcare transformation program under Vision 2030. The establishment of the RHQ will prove to be a steppingstone in advancing healthcare expertise and will serve as a catalyst to foster exchange of global innovation expertise and best practices within the region. It will drive strategic collaborations with government and private entities, including the Ministry of Health, Research Centers and Universities, which will enable accelerated development.”

On the research front, Siemens Healthineers global research partners’ network expands across more than 2,400 research collaboration institutions worldwide enabling development and integration of pioneering innovations around technologies such as patient twinning, AI algorithm-development, advanced visualization techniques and postprocessing protocols improving patient care pathways particularly in Neurology, Cardiology and Oncology. Moreover, Innovation Think Tank’s (ITT) global presence spans multiple innovation labs and programs across more than 90 activity locations across hospitals, universities and government institutions. These partnerships with key healthcare institutions will focus on creating self-innovating infrastructures and precise product portfolio development for fostering entrepreneurship and commercialization.
