This award reflects Siemens Healthineers leadership in driving sustainable transformation within clinical laboratories. Central to this achievement is the Atellica Solution portfolio, which has set global benchmarks for environmental performance in laboratory diagnostics. Through the adoption of ACT Ecolabel-certified products and the My Green Lab certification programme, Siemens Healthineers has enabled laboratories to achieve up to 48% reductions in energy consumption and up to 54% reductions in water usage, while increasing operational throughput and reducing lifecycle emissions1.

The company’s ACT Ecolabel and My Green Lab initiatives have also been instrumental in helping healthcare providers recognize measurable cost savings and environmental benefits. These efforts are complemented by sustainable packaging, improved waste management, and remote service delivery, all contributing to a lower carbon footprint and healthier communities.

Siemens Healthineers’ focus on sustainability is embedded in its global strategy, with a clear ambition to achieve net zero emissions across its value chain by 2050. The company’s ESG framework is built on decarbonisation, circular economy, and eco-design, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In Malaysia, these principles are brought to life through collaborations with government agencies, hospitals, and academic institutions, as well as ongoing investment in local talent and community engagement.

This recognition by the ESG PLUS Awards 2025 is a testament to Siemens Healthineers Malaysia’s dedication to sustainable excellence and its role as a trusted partner in advancing the nation’s healthcare ecosystem. The company looks forward to building on this momentum and achieving even greater strides in sustainability in the years ahead.
