Today, Siemens Healthineers marked its fruitful cooperation with Hanoi General Hospital (HGH) by bringing the hi-end technologies to its new High-tech Mamocare Breast Center, thereby addressing the increasing healthcare needs of women in the North of Vietnam. The launch of the High-tech Mamocare Breast Center witnessed the attendance of Pedro Vilaca, Country Head, Siemens Healthineers, Vietnam, leaders of HGH and representatives of Hanoi authority as well as Ministry of Health.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in many countries around the world, including Vietnam. According to a latest report by ResearchGate, the incidence rate of breast cancer has increased in Vietnam by a factor greater than two over the last two decades, making this disease becoming the most frequently diagnosed cancer among Vietnamese women. The key to effective treatment of breast cancer is early and accurate detection of lesions, which helps in delivering better patient management in a cost-efficient manner.
Siemens Healthineers is proud to be associated with Hanoi General Hospital, a prestigious hospital that has gained many achievements during its development history. We highly appreciate the hospital’s vision in improving precision medicine and patient experience, especially in breast cancer care. Under this collaboration with HGH, Siemens Healthineers is providing ACUSON S2000™ Automated Breast Volume Scanner (ABVS) ultrasound system and Mammomat Inspiration, a digital mammography system. These innovative solutions from Siemens Healthineers also set new standards for the hospital’s Mamocare center and healthcare delivery among women. HGH is the first private hospital in the North to install these superior breast-screening systems, enabling better diagnosis of the disease while ensuring greater patient comfort.
“At Siemens Healthineers, our mission is to enable healthcare providers to deliver high value care by expanding precision medicine, transforming care delivery and improving patient experience, while digitalizing healthcare. It is a moment of pride for us at Siemens Healthineers to collaborate with HGH in their vision of providing superior healthcare to women. We also hope to contribute towards the larger goals of Ministry of Health in the country’s digitalization roadmap”, said Pedro Vilaca, Country Head, Siemens Healthineers, Vietnam.
Professor. Dr. Le Trung Hai – Director of HGH shared: “With the establishment of MamoCare Center within the cooperation framework with Siemens Healthineers, the world’s leading provider of medical equipment, HGH expects to bring more opportunities in the treatment of complicated diseases as breast cancer and other breast issues, thus improving the quality of life and health of women. ”
ACUSON S2000™ ABVS
It is a 3D Total breast ultrasound solution combining the power of 2D/3D ultrasound and advanced technologies with automated acquisition and intelligent workflow solutions to create one comprehensive package for breast ultrasound care. It provides consistent, reproducible, operator-independent results with high-resolution full-field views of the entire breast – without exposing the patient to radiation. The system’s unique ability to assess tissue stiffness with Virtual Touch™ technologies uses Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology to help clinicians better differentiate between tumors, healthy dense breast tissue, fatty tissue and other conditions in deep tissues.
It is a digital mammography system with the 500 Wide-angle Tomosynthesis. With 25 projections (the highest number available), the 50° Wide-Angle Tomosynthesis helps gain deeper insights, enabling more accurate and earlier detection¹. Patient comfort can be optimized by decreasing compression by 40% compared to a standard mammogram2. PRIME Technology in this mammography system allows dose reduction without compromising on image quality.
