MAGNETOM Artis Combi Suite

MAGNETOM Artis Combi Suite

Leveraging good soft tissue differentiation and high spatial and temporal resolution of MR imaging in angiography procedures can support pre-procedural planning and intra-procedural modification of intervention strategies. With the MAGNETOM Artis Combi Suite, electrophysiologists have the combined advantages of both modalities. And, with a two room solution, both modalities can be used simultaneously or separately and independently of each other for routine everyday applications.

Without the need for ionizing radiation, MRI can add significant value before, during and after EP procedures:

  • Before: extensive 3D anatomic and functional information of the heart; identification of arrhythmogenic substrate for improved arrhythmic risk assessment, patient identification and procedure planning
  • During: the segmented 3D anatomy results can either be overlaid onto live-fluoroscopy for catheter guidance or to the electro-anatomical mapping system for advanced mapping and navigation
  • After: visualization of completeness and transmurality of ablation lesions, diagnosis or exclusion of potential complications (e.g. acute pulmonary vein stenosis or oesophageal injury) and assessment of structural or functional changes during follow-up
