The optional Tim Dockable Table improves your process efficiency by enabling to prepare a patient outside the MR exam room. In a shared use model between radiation oncology and radiology this enables scanning within standard radiological timeslots and gives you the flexibility you need. The Tim 4G Spine coil that is integrated in the table can stay in place for RT set-ups and provides excellent SNR for brain, head & neck and body (pelvic) exams. The table holds up to 250 kg / 550 lb.


The MAGNETOM RT Pro edition is equipped with a set of additional Flex coils and a Body coil with an extended cable for more flexible positioning of the coils. This ensures excellent signal-to-noise ratio for brain, head & neck, and body (pelvic) imaging when immobilization devices are in place. For example, two flexible coils, one body coil with an extended cable and the table-integrated spine coil can be combined for head & neck exams at maximized SNR levels. Compared to a set-up with loop coils, flexible Tim 4G coils provide up to 17%3 more SNR.

Siemens offers a variety of optional imaging applications which are tailored to address some of the main challenges in radiation oncology. Techniques like BLADE, Advanced WARP4, Siemens-unique FREEZEit and RESOLVE sequence help to maintain geometric integrity of the acquired data and to deal with typical sources of image artifacts, i.e. caused by metal. In radiation therapy of the prostate, the volume of the organ is often overestimated when using CT only.5 With its excellent soft-tissue contrast, MRI can enable a more precise delineation of the prostate and organs at risk. With multi-parametric MRI (diffusion-weighted imaging and Spectroscopy) you can even see metabolically active regions of a tumor which helps to identify regions for dose escalation and enable tailored treatment planning to drive better therapeutic outcomes.6

With fast isotropic 3D sequences – like SPACE or VIBE – along with 3D distortion correction, you can acquire excellent planning data for the therapy process. Various contrasts for reliable 3D planning in brachytherapy, e.g. T1, T2, and PD are available.
