Simultaneous Multi-SliceArticles and keynotes

The common complaint – My MRI takes too long! – may soon be a thing of the past.

Simultaneous Multi-Slice is an exciting new technique designed for unprecedented speed in imaging to shorten patient’s table time. Developed under collaboration between Siemens and several partners including Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and the Centre for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR), University of Minnesota, SMS significantly speeds up imaging and circumvents the SNR loss associated with conventional parallel imaging (iPAT) techniques such as SENSE and GRAPPA.
