Our solution to assist you as low and intermediate-volume operators in complex PCI: CorPath GRX
The world's leading system for robotic-assisted PCI advances these procedures for you and your patients alike. The Corindus CorPath GRX System assists you in navigating complex anatomies and crossing difficult lesions with automated movements for guidewires and devices.
Precise anatomical measurements aid you in selection of the appropriate stent, and device movements in 1mm increments help you to ensure accuracy in device-positioning. All with the added benefit of radiation protection for you without a requirement to wear heavy lead.
Only a few interventionalists have the opportunity to apply their skills regularly
In the U.S., interventionalists tend to have relatively low annual procedure volumes. The average interventionalist only performs 50 PCIs per year. The number of interventionalists that perform fewer than 50 PCIs per year is quite high, while the number of interventionalists with high annual PCI volume is fairly low. Only one third of all interventionalists in the U.S. perform more than 150 PCIs per year.
This means that only a few interventionalists have the opportunity to apply their skills regularly and to continuously improve. Many studies show an inverse relationship between operator procedural volume and short-term adverse outcomes after PCIs.
