The Atellica® Solution has been installed at Nationwide Pathology to help maintain rapid turn-around rates in an UKAS accredited private commercial pathology laboratory.
Atellica Solution integrates immunoassay and clinical chemistry analysers with a new standard in sample-management technology and a focus on driving better outcomes.
“The Atellica Solution has increased our capacity by four-fold compared to our previous rate. We envisage that the Atellica Solution will continue to streamline our testing and provide our business with the capacity to continue to grow.” States Jamie Dunn, Director of Nationwide Pathology.
Turnaround time and high quality of results for clients is the driving force behind the processes at Nationwide Pathology, who offer phlebotomy services and pathology solutions across the UK and Ireland. “We chose the Atellica Solution as it will facilitate a quick turnaround of testing so we can ensure we are able to fulfil our client’s expectations for timely receipt of results,” adds Jamie Dunn, Director of Nationwide Pathology. “For us, it is imperative that we can stand behind the quality of the testing service we provide. Nationwide Pathology have been UKAS accredited for six years and rely on the robust technical reputation of Siemens Healthineers to assist us in growing our business.”
With a broad range of clients, including sporting professionals, it is important that services are both quick and convenient. With over 150 partners, Nationwide Pathology offers to draw samples of blood in convenient locations for patients across the nation - returning the results on the same day the samples are received. With limited lab space, the Atellica Solution was the ideal system, streamlining processes with integrated immunoassay and clinical chemistry analysis.
“Whilst we chose the Atellica Solution to facilitate a quick turnaround of testing, we were equally impressed by the diligence and professionalism of the installation” Jamie Dunn, Director of Nationwide Pathology.
Tony Bennett, Project Management Team Lead at Siemens Healthineers GB&I, said “To avoid interruption of service and maintain optimal output, Siemens Healthineers assigned a project manager to oversee the implementation process. We were able to provide a building to relocate the existing equipment and created a temporary lab during the installation process to avoid any interruption to services”.
