Atellica® Solution Global Installations

  1. Magline Transport, Sweden

At the clinical chemistry laboratory in Falun, Region Dalarna, Maria Fransson who is operating the Atellica Solution describes the benefits of sample transport on the Atellica Magline. Samples placed on the system are very quickly aspirated and returned to the output drawer and thereby you have immediate access to samples that may need extra attention. The rapid and intelligent routing of samples on the Atellica Magline enables and a faster throughput and faster TAT. The important STAT samples have a high priority on the Atellica Magline as routine samples are move away when a STAT sample arrives for aspiration at the instrument, thereby, STAT samples never have to wait in queue and STAT results can quickly be generated.

  2. Bioesterel, a model of workflow excellence

The Bioesterel laboratory and Siemens Healthineers have worked closely together since 2011. This partnership continued with the installation of Atellica® Solution in October 2017, with Bioesterel being one of the first French sites to acquire the analyzer. Isabelle Seigneurin Frinzi, a biologist, explains how the arrival of the analyzer was an opportunity to rethink the laboratory's workflow and optimize the flow of tubes throughout the day. Automated maintenance and quality control also contributes to customer satisfaction.

Atellica Solution in a French university hospital and a private laboratory

When the Olivot-Mariotti laboratory decided to renew the equipment (biochemistry, immunology, hematology and hemostasis) of its site of Boé, near Agen, it is on the Atellica® Solution analyzer of Siemens Healthineers that the choice was made for biochemistry and immunology, in order to answer the numerous challenges imposed by this change. "Atellica Solution represents, to date and for our organization, the synthesis of the best of Siemens Healthineers technology, in a word, efficiency. We have even gone beyond our expectations on certain points!" Philippe Mariotti, biologist and laboratory director.

At Grenoble University Hospital, the two Atellica Solution lines connected to the Aptio Automation allow the laboratory to handle more than 2,400 tubes per day quickly and efficiently. Dora Guergour, head of the biochemistry and immunoanalysis unit, emphasizes the analytical performance of the analyzer, but also the better handling of emergencies, two essential criteria for a university hospital laboratory.

  3. La Paz University Hospital Transforms Delivery Of Cardiac Care

Dr. Antonio Buno, La Paz University Hospital, has been working to transform the delivery of cardiac care by implementing a high-sensitivity Troponin I assay.

  4. Antwerp University Hospital, UZA

Moving from an old to a new generation automation is never easy for a laboratory. However, with adequate preparation and support, change can happen with confidence. At the Antwerp University Hospital, they decided to switch to the latest generation of immuno-chemistry analyzers and at the same time expand the automation system by linking new modules and new disciplines.

Bart Peeters and Jan Van Den Bossche, both clinical biologists in the laboratory, gave us an insight into their experiences during this transition. Following key elements are discussed: 1/ the need to remain operational throughout the installation, 2/ validation of the results moving from Dimension Vista towards Atellica Solution, 3/ the extensive user training, and 4/ the partnership based on trust and availability.
