Tree Planting at Taman Tugu

In conjunction with World Environment Month 2022

Recently, a group of Malaysian Healthineers volunteered for a tree-planting activity at the Taman Tugu Forest Reserve! In keeping with the 2022 World Environment Day theme of "Only One Earth," Taman Tugu helped us play our modest part in preserving a 66-acre regenerated forest park, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur!

We started our trek to the specified tree-planting location in the forest after choosing our saplings. When we arrived, a Taman Tugu ranger showed us how to plant our trees, showing us how to dig a hole, put a sapling (approximately 1m tall), fertilise it, and then water it after adding coconut coir. Then we went on a 4-kilometer trip through the forest park checking out the beautiful flora and fauna, where we also passed through a small bamboo grove!

Being able to contribute in a little but meaningful way to the environment while simultaneously spending time in nature with fellow coworkers was fulfilling.
