Identifying obscurities in lung and kidney disorders
Dr Saiful Nizam, a Consultant Clinical Radiologist at ParkCity Medical Centre, explains how the Dual Source CT Scanner in their facility provides easy and comfortable routine scans for patients of all medical backgrounds. He describes, for example, how its low-dose radiation feature allows the team to scan patients with impaired kidney functions, as well as how it can capture even minute body details, allowing them to identify asymptomatic patients with hidden lung lesions.
In this video, Dr Saiful shares with us how the Dual Source CT scanner is supporting ParkCity Medical Centre’s vision to provide accessible care to a wider group of patients.
Enabling early detection in cardiovascular diseases
Cardiovascular disease, or CVD, is one of the leading causes of death globally.[1] Dr Chong Yoon Sin, a Consultant Cardiologist at ParkCity Medical Centre, takes us through how their new Dual Source CT Scanner makes it possible for early detection and management of CVD.
It not only allows them to scan patients with any heart rates, thus enabling access to care for a wider group of patients, but the SOMATOM Force also enables the team to perform Dynamic CT Myocardial Perfusion scans to check the health of the heart and blood vessels of a patient. This in turn allows Dr Chong and his team to provide early assessment of abnormalities.
