Pathologic perfusion is sometimes the reason and often the consequence of brain pathologies. Evaluation of perfusion with dynamic susceptibility-weighted imaging is a well understood and established method to evaluate these changes. In this “How I do it” article, Binesh et al. (Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles) show step-by-step how they apply this method and present four case reports illustrating the usefulness of perfusion imaging in clinical practice.
