DAX (Deep Abdominal Transducer)

Clinically scan to 40cm

In order to address the unmet needs of physicians, sonographers and patients we have developed the new ACUSON Sequoia system, which provides the ability to scan all obese patients with high accuracy and image quality, regardless of BMI.

This is possible because of DAX (Deep Abdominal Transducer), an imaging transducer unique to Siemens Healthineers, designed to penetrate deep in the abdomen, up to 40 cm, unlike conventional transducers.

DAX has been designed to work in all advanced modes including shear wave elastography, contrast enhanced ultrasound and fusion.
