Siemens Healthineers is set to showcase a number of new imaging solutions at the UK Radiological and Radiation Oncology Congress (UKRCO) next month. The medical technology specialist will host demonstrations for its latest CT scanner, ultrasound system, and point-of-care (POC) blood analysis device at the event which takes place at the ACC Liverpool, from July 2-4. In addition, members from Siemens Healthineers’ finance team will be on hand to provide information to attendees on how the equipment can be financed, and the work it undertakes with medical and equipment suppliers.
SOMATOM Edge Plus – changing views in computed tomography
The SOMATOM Edge Plus is one of Siemens Healthineers’ latest CT systems, and features the Fully Assisting Scanner Technologies (FAST) Integrated Workflow with the FAST 3D Camera – the first patient positioning system powered by artificial intelligence. Additionally, the new scanner allows for automated scan preparation, improved diagnostic confidence, and customised patient dose, making it ideal for high-volume practices and emergency imaging environments.
ACUSON Juniper – the next-generation ultrasound system
The ACUSON Juniper is a new ultrasound system with advanced applications and imaging performance. It features a lightweight, ergonomic design with complete manoeuvrability for use across a wide variety of clinical segments. Though small in size, the ACUSON Juniper is powerful. The system’s versatility and adaptability makes it ideal for diverse patient anatomies and physiologies. Users can customise the ACUSON Juniper based on patient interactions for improved clinical workflow.
epoc® Blood Analysis System
Part of Siemens Healthineers extensive POC portfolio, which is being presented for the very first time at UKRCO, the epoc® Blood Analysis System is a handheld, wireless solution to enable comprehensive blood analysis testing at the patient’s side on a single room temperature test card, with results in under a minute. Its benefits include: an acceleration in clinical decision making; streamlined patient-testing workflows; and simplified inventory management. The POC team will be on hand to discuss and demonstrate how the epoc® Blood Analysis System improves outcomes and workflow for radiologists with Creatinine and eGFR within seconds, prior to undertaking a CT scan.
Bernadette Leonard, Ultrasound Business Manager at Siemens Healthineers, GB & Ireland, said: “We’re thrilled to be showcasing our latest imaging solutions and POC offerings at UKRCO. It’s a big event on our calendar and one that pits you against the best the industry has to offer. We’re looking forward to hosting demonstrations for both current and prospective clients, as well as offering business advice through our customer services team.”
