About the course

The first two days provide the underpinning knowledge of CT principles and practice in SPECT-CT and PET-CT, and specialised CT applications for improving image quality and reducing radiation dose. It covers the areas of acquisition, reconstruction, image viewing and manipulation, and quality control. The third day builds on days 1 and 2, to provide training in how to optimise CT protocols specifically for the practices of SPECT-CT and PET CT, finding the best compromises between required image quality and dose.

The trainers on the course will be:

  • Natalie Bebbington Physicist and applications specialist, Siemens Healthineers
  • Sanne Weber Andersen Radiographer and applications specialist, Siemens Healthineers
  • Rikke Westy Bonaparte Technologist and application specialist, Siemens Healthineers

This three-day course is intended for doctors, physicists, radiographers, technologists, nurses and other health professionals working with Siemens SPECT-CT and PET-CT systems.
